Suncorp Stadium Lighting Upgrade
Suncorp Stadium recently received a huge upgrade to it’s sports lighting and lighting control system. Smartscape delivered the NDY designed lighting control system and custom programming to not only run day to day sports event lighting but to also enable ‘Fan Experience’ style lighting shows. Challenges for Smartscape included transmitting eDMX across multiple multi-mode fiber drops with both media and protocol conversion hardware to deliver control signals.
Although only a month in to the recently paused sports season the new lighting has already seen use with NRL, Red’s, A-League and the Queen Concert. If required 3rd party lighting control companies can integrate the new sports lighting into their lighting shows using eDMX protocol.
The existing Venue head-end Lighting control system also has full 2-way control of the stadium lights for overall venue control when required.
